The book is an empirical as well as engrossing account of history of library and Information science education in Nepal, Due to geo-political isolation, Nepal remained largely unaffected by the achievement made in library and information sectors elsewhere in the world. In fact, libraries and library and information science education activities in the country in earnest began only after 1950s following the end to the self-imposed isolation. After nearly five decades, the country has now some infrastructure and professional manpower in library and information science sector.
